BIOLOGICAL MARKERS OF AGING

Cellular Health Analysis plus a physical and some blood tests determine many of the biological ‘markers’ of aging. This is a very important part of any anti-aging program.

 BIOLOGICAL MARKERS OF AGING (BIA)

These are measurable, objective markers that are indicative of the aging process. Most importantly they can be IMPROVED to an optimal level with diet and exercise.

  • Lean Body Mass
  • Muscle Strength
  • Phase Angle (indicates quality and quantity of cells)
  • Fluid Index (body’s hydration status)
  • Body Fat Percentage
  • Aerobic Capacity
  • Blood Sugar Tolerance
  • Cholesterol/HDL ratio
  • Blood Pressure
  • Bone Mineral Density

 CELLULAR HEALTH ANALYSIS

This is a scientifically proven test which measures some of these parameters.

It is a safe, painless test which takes at the most five minutes to perform.

 You will find out:

  • How your cells are
  • Am I drinking enough water (almost all people who live to a hundred report drinking a lot of water)
  • Do I have too much or not enough fat
  • Do I have too much or not enough muscle
  • Do I have inflammation or toxicity in my body
  • What is my biological age

 WHO IS IT FOR?

 Everyone

Are you interested in slowing the aging process, restoring your vitality and improving your health?

  • You believe you are fit; you exercise regularly, eat well and generally take care of yourself and you want to find out if you really are at your best.

  • You know you are not fit you maybe overweight, do not exercise regularly, tired feeling old and want to feel better. You need a diet and exercise program tailored to you

IS IT EXPENSIVE?

No the benefit of knowing what you need to do to improve your health and vitality will save you money.

A BIA measurement and report

$55.00 including GST

Follow up BIA measurements

$44.00 including GST

If you would like to have a BIA measurement please phone Royston Clinic on 02 9476 6307 and ask for a 30 minute appointment with Sister Christine Brelsford.

 RECOMMENDATIONS

Overall a good report just a couple of areas to look at.

 1.       Although total body water is within the recommended range it is better if it is at the upper end of the range – drink more water especially during hot weather. This applies to all readings. A fluid rehydration supplement like Endura or Fibroplex Plus will help.

 2.       Body Composition low in fat and muscle mass ideally like to equalise these. One of the major forces in aging is muscle loss so it is important to maintain and if necessary build muscle.  Recommend muscle building program using resistance exercises and a creatine supplement like Myobolic and Endura Opti

 3. Specifics of exercise program:
