 ELECTROREGENESIS – FAQs

Electroregenesis Costs and Packages

What is ElectroRegenesis? (ER)

ElectroRegenesis is a new way of restoring health to the body at the cellular level by reducing inflammation and eliminating toxins. This promotes healing.

 How does it work?

ElectroRegenesis uses ultra low electrical currents similar to those used by the body. These act on cells helping restore their normal energy & function.  In other words it gives the cells a ‘kick start’.

 What does a treatment involve?

You sit relaxed in a recliner chair.  Moist wraps are applied to areas of the body depending on the condition being treated. A black band is wrapped over these and a wire attached to each band. These wires attach to the BodiHealth machine. Most commonly there are two components to a treatment, one cycle which can be considered as a cleansing, detoxifying cycle which lasts for 23minutes and then the treatment cycle which usually lasts around one and a half hours. A therapist is available to ensure you are warm and comfortable and monitors your treatment.

Is it the same as a TENS machine?

The only similarity is that they both use electricity. TENS uses much higher currents to confuse nerves so as they can’t transmit pain impulses as well. ER uses very low currents which actually heal body tissues at the cell level. TENS is a Bandaid, ER aims to cure.

 Does it hurt?

No there is no pain. You may or may not feel some tingling during the treatment. Whether or not you feel anything does not seem to bear any relationship to the effectiveness of the treatment.

 Is it proven?

There are many Case Studies showing ER’s remarkable effects. Several trials have shown amazing healing of chronic ulcers and the pain relief effects have been demonstrated time and time again. There are current trials at Ipswich Hospital in Qld, Royal Brisbane Hospital and ER is being trialled by the US Army in the States, where preliminary results show that it is far more effective than other electrical therapies.

What assessments will I need to get the most out of my ElectroRegenesis Therapy?

Your treatment will be planned to meet your individual needs at an assessment consultation with Dr Alex Yao or Sr Christine Brelsford RN. At this interview we will learn more about you, your individual problem, any past treatments and other problems which may be contributing to your condition. We will also look at your ability to function in tasks of daily life and your psychological and nutritional status.   You will then be able to book all your treatments in accordance with your individual treatment plan. We will set goals for improvement with our treatment programs, so as we can monitor your progress over time.

This Assessment will help us to help you and will include:

  • To define clearly CURRENT PROBLEM, and the reason you are considering Electroregenesis.
  • To, with YOU, the patient, DEFINE and CLARIFY your reasonable expectation of OUTCOMES from the ER treatment, and set and document OUTCOME GOALS as a result of the treatment.
  • To Define ER protocol for You. This includes frequency of  ER treatments, Initial and subsequent Bodihealth settings, Hire or purchase of JAI and JAI SETTINGS, and estimation of likely number of sessions required to achieve the OUTCOME GOALS as above.
  • To Discuss the cost of treatment.
  • To Decide appropriate tool to monitor progress e.g. PAIN CHART, Chronic Fatigue/Fibromyalgia Progress Chart, and to decide how often these assessments are to be made, and who is to be responsible for ensuring they are completed regularly and in a timely fashion by yourself, & ER staff and doctors.
  • To assess other potential INVESTIGATIONS and TREATMENTS  to assist in the YOUR ULTIMATE RECOVERY, and their likely success in meeting the above OUTCOME GOALS. These may include Western Medicine, Nutritional Medicine, Hormone Therapy, Psychological Medicine, Acupuncture, Craniosacral therapy and often BIA analysis & an Exercise Program.
  • To formulate and document, and agree on a COMPREHENSIVE HOLISTIC TREATMENT PLAN incorporating the above elements, and explain to this to YOU the patient.

How much does it cost?

Initial Assessment Consultation $100.00

Treatment $66.00 per 2 hr session

Wraps $22 each.

There are NO MEDICARE or HEALTH FUND REBATES at this time.

How Many Sessions are needed?

This is very hard to answer as everyone has different needs. As a guide the longer the problem has been there the more treatments may be required.  Some may need monthly, three monthly or six monthly “Top Up” sessions.  Each session lasts 2hrs plus 30 mins set up time.

 What is ER Good For?

ER may be effective for chronic pain, especially back pain and musculoskeletal pain, such as shoulder and foot pain. It is effective in speeding up chronic ulcer healing, and for wounds generally. It may speed up recovery after surgery.  It may be effective for Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue especially when used as part of a Holistic health approach. It can speed up fracture healing and is very helpful in all sports injuries, getting you back on the playing field much quicker.

 Are there any side effects?

No. However some people may experience a detoxification which can present as rashes, nausea, diarrhea or headaches. This shows that toxins are being cleared from your body, which is a good thing. Sometimes your pain may increase as the body begins to heal itself.

 What is a Jai?

The Jai is a small portable unit that is used between treatments with the BodiHealth. It also uses ultra low frequency to stimulate cellular regeneration. It maintains the level between Bodihealth treatments. These can be bought for $2530.00, or hired for $165 per month.

Why do I need a Jai?

It is used to maintain the impetus of BodiHealth treatments which ‘speeds’ up recovery.

How long do I wear it for each day?

You will be told how many hours a day to have the Jai on. Some conditions are best treated by wearing the Jai continuously, others need less time.

How long will I need a Jai for?

This depends on what is being treated. Some conditions for example acute injuries like sprained ankle may only need a Jai for a couple of weeks. Others may need it long term and some with chronic problems, especially chronic pain, will benefit from it for the rest of their life.

How do I make an appointment?

To make an appointment please phone the clinic on 02) 94766307 and ask for an Initial Assessment appointment with Dr Alex Yao or SR Christine Brelsford. Once you have your treatment plan you can book all the required treatments either by phone or in person.  Please note- there is a 50% non attendance fee. There is a long waiting list for appointments and patients who repeatedly fail to turn up will find their appointments cancelled and given to others.
