How do we do it?

You are welcome to bring one adult loved one to this consultation. At the Consultation, you will first have a comprehensive history and basic medical tests taken by a highly qualified Nursing Sister, Christine Brelsford all these details will be entered in on a computer. This will take up to an hour.. Following this you will have a  consultation with David Richardson.  During this time we will map out a series of medical tests and a comprehensive treatment program in conjunction with you. Some initial treatment may be started at this consultation.

You will then go and have the tests and return usually two weeks later

Then you will have a second consultation with  David & Christine. During this visit a Comprehensive Care Plan may developed in conjunction with you. This will generally involve diet and nutritional therapy, often combined with conventional medicine and sometimes Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy, as well as an exercise program and often some form relaxation therapy & cognitive behavioural therapy. You may be referred to practitioners outside of Royston Clinic..

The next stage is up to you as the individual to fulfil your part of the management  plan as well as you are able. We do not treat patients, rather we help patients treat themselves; it is this self responsibility, the owning of your own disease or condition that is central to the success of our treatment plans.

A follow up appointment will be booked usually four weeks later, usually with either David or Chris or sometimes both depending on the nature of your condition. During this consultation your progress will be documented and your treatment may be refined.

After this appointments are scheduled usually at three monthly intervals. usually for 1/2 hour.

Research

Royston Clinic runs an detailed Research program as part of our basic function, and so we will ask you to fill in questionnaires to get a subjective impression of your progress, as well as ordering other tests to help us make an objective assessment of your case.

From time to time we will publish results of cases in various journals, however you may be assured that no individual will be identified in this ongoing research.
